RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (AP) -- Russian President Dimitry Medvedev says he wants bilateral trade with Brazil to double ''in the next few years.''
Russia's ITA-Tass news agency says Medvedev told Russian and Brazilian businessmen on Tuesday that he wants trade between the two countries to increase to $10 billion.
The Russian president arrived in Brazil Monday night from Peru where he attended a weekend summit of Pacific Rim leaders.
He's due to sign agreements on Wednesday with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on cooperation on nuclear, aerospace, agriculture and energy projects.
Medvedev will also visit Venezuela and Cuba.
